If you are serious about you cooking and if you are the type who knows how real food preparation is done, you will leave your food processor behind and do all you can to get your hands on a proper lemon zester.

The trouble with most lemon zesters and other objects like it is that they are often uncomfortable to use. This results in a lot of wasted time in the kitchen and even potential injuries because of how uncomfortable they are when using them.
You'll want Deiss' lemon zester if you are the type who finds traditional lemon zesters uncomfortable to use. Its non-slip handle and curved sides speak to this. All you need to do to use it is hold the food item you want to grate in one hand, and go over it with the zester. It is much easier to use than any given box grater
Deiss' lemon zester only allows you to chop in one size. While this may be negligible to some, you will face some serious limitations if you did need a lemon zester that is able to chop in multiple sizes.

Something that you'll need to watch out for with Yibidinay's lemon zester is that the blade is a little less wide than others like it. Not only that, the blade on Yibidinay's zester is also flimsy, so you'll need to be a little more gentle with it than usual.
It seems like most lemon zesters are almost specifically designed for experienced users. Their handles are not too big and their blades are typically not wide enough to account for any mistakes that might be made. This is what turns most away from lemon zesters and towards block graters.
Siasky's citrus zester is what you are looking for if you are new to lemon zesters. It is a bit bigger than most other zesters, which allows you to be a lot more safe when using it. The blade is a little more wide and the handle is a little longer and that is what makes it more safe to use.
Unfortunately, this is also one quality of Siasky's cheese grater that holds it back. It can take up space in your kitchen, which is what many try to avoid when they swap out block style cheese graters for a lemon zester.
While it isn't impossible to clean most lemon zesters, it can be a lot more difficult than most of them claim. Simply running water along the blade of your lemon zester can only do so much when cleaning them, and most of them aren't dishwasher safe.

One of the biggest issues with any lemon zester is that they are one-dimensional. Their blades only contain one size and this is one thing that can get you to go back to using your block style grater, since most block style graters have two blade sizes.
Thinkeep's set of lemon zesters have changed all of this. You get three different kinds of zesters in its set, allowing you to perform nearly any kind of grating project that you are tasked to do. You will never need to use a block grater again when using it.
The blades in Thinkeep's set are nowhere near as sturdy as the blades of any other lemon zester. This means that you will need to be much more careful using it. This can prolong your grating projects more than you might like.
Most lemon zesters and graters only contain one size of blade, typically only leaving you with a fine grating option. This severely limits what you can do and it will get you to turn back to the block style grater that you wanted to replace in the first place.
Fortunately, Lynn & Riley has a lemon zester that works very similar to any given block style grater. It contains a fine blade as well as a coarse blade. This makes it a true replacement for any given block style grater.
Unfortunately, Lynn & Riley's lemon zester has coarse and fine blades on the same side of one blade. This makes it a little uncomfortable to use and you will need to be more experienced that most to use it effectively.

Traditional block style graters are a thing of the past.
These graters crowd up the kitchen and are uncomfortable to use.

Don't think that lemon zesters are only for grating produce. You can easily grate cheese, chocolate, or anything else that can be grated with it.
