This review is the result of hours of research, my own experience with some of these bakewares and conversations with other chefs and other reviewers. Whether you're a chef, a mom, a seasoned cook, or just a hobbyist, a good bakeware set will make it easier to accomplish your culinary masterpiece. Here are five sets of what I consider to be the best pick based on the qualities listed above:
If you are looking for a bakeware that can double as a serving ware, the Pyrex Easy Grab 19-Piece Glass Bakeware Set fits the bill. The 19-piece set contains a good baking essentials like oblong, square, baking dish, loaf dish, and three mixing bowls with a blue cover which is ideal for storing other food.
Other items found in the set are four rimmed custard cups and a pie plate. It is made of nonporous glass that won't absorb odor and stain from food ingredients. The bakeware comes with a 2-year warranty while the plastic lid is covered for 1 year.

Cons
Made of heavy duty steel, this 5-piece baking pan follows an intelligent design. It has broad handles with silicone grip, making it easy to carry and unload. The non-stick coating ensures that food does not stick and are easy to release.
Safe up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, this commercial grade baking pans does not warp and spreads heat evenly ensuring a perfectly even baking. The Elite Bakeware Ultra NonStick Baking Pans Set is made to last a lifetime, in fact the manufacturer offers a hassle-free 100% money back guarantee.
Pros
Cons
If you already have a SilverStone ceramic ware in your kitchen, this bakeware set is a good addition because it matches well with other Silverstone products. This set is a hybrid between carbon steel and ceramic, which is a good thing because you get the best of both worlds.
The ceramic coated body is chip and flaking resistant is easy to clean and provides excellent food release performance. The rolled-rim carbon steel handle provides excellent grasp ensuring that your baked goodies won't fall off. You can visit the manufacturer's website to get the warranty of this set.
Pros
Cons
This bakeware set from Rachael Ray is made from durable carbon steel with a rolled rim which serves as handles, making it easy to use everyday. The latte colored non-stick coating serves a triple purpose of aesthetic, easy food release and easy cleanup.
The handle also has a silicon grip which provides a solid and comfortable grasp even when carrying plenty of food. The set comes with a cookie pan, muffin pan and two round cake pans and it can sit in the oven up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. You need to contact the seller to get the warranty if you buy this set.
Pros
Cons
This is a highly affordable bakeware that is made from heavy-gauge carbon steel and the manufacturer covers it with 10-year warranty. You can expect your cookies and cakes to cook evenly because there are no hot spots.
This bakeware set is so strong, it won't warp and with a non-stick interlocking interior coating, food will just slide easily. The set is dishwasher safe, you don't have to struggle with the cleanup. With its unbeatable price and simple design, I would say, this is a suitable starter set.
Pros
Cons
Different materials offer different performance and results, and you should factor this when buying your bakeware sets. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages and if you're not familiar with it, you can ruin your baking results. Watch the video below to have a better idea.
If you're looking for versatility, you can go for glass bakeware. It has great conductivity and it can go to the freezer, oven and microwave. It can even double as a serving ware.
It spreads heat evenly and when cleaning time comes, all you need to do is dunk it into the dishwasher. You have to be a little careful with sugary recipes when using glassware because it tends brown it faster.
Just like glassware, ceramic also evenly spreads heat and it's equally versatile. Since it is finished with enamel, its also easy to clean and can double as serving ware. You also need to be careful with ceramic when cooking sugary recipes because it tends to burn them easily.
For fast heating and fast cooling requirements, metal bakeware is ideal. If you want to cook recipes that require high temperature, metal is the way to go.
What to Look for in a Bakeware Set
There are certain qualities that you need to look for when choosing your bakeware set. These qualities will make a lot of difference when you use these tools and consequently, it should also influence your buying decision.
Let's face it, you will eventually need to clean your bakeware set and when the time comes, you'd want them to be easy to clean. The good news for you is, non-stick materials like metal, ceramic and glass are all easy to clean. Food will just slide off from them when you put them inside the dishwasher.
Different manufacturers include different items in their bakeware sets. To get the best value for your money, you have to consider if need all that is included in a set. These are some of the most important items that you'd need for baking: cake pans, casserole dish, loaf pan, muffin pan, cookie sheet, and pie pan.
Again this is where metal, ceramic and glass reigns supreme because these three are really the best materials for bakeware. One of the item reviewed here is a hybrid between metal and ceramic.
Having comfortable handles make a lot of difference particularly because your cookware will become too hot to handle. Comfortable handles protect your food from getting spilled and you from getting burned.
If you want a defective bakeware to be replaced with a good one, warranty does come in handy. The longer the warranty, the better, because it means that the manufacturer is confident of the quality of their product.
While all these bakeware sets are good, my bet is on the Pyrex Easy Grab 19-Piece Glass Bakeware Set. It comes in 19 pieces and can double as serving ware. The glass construction does not need any non-stick coating which from experience would eventually peel off. Depending on the manufacturer, some non-stick coating do last longer than others, but they all peel off over time.
Although this set has a short warranty, Pyrex is known to be durable and in fact, I even still have items given to me by my mom, while some I bought myself from a few years back. The potential of breaking at ultra high temperature is also a non-issue because nobody really bakes like that. For most baking needs, Pyrex heat resistance is sufficient.
The Calphalon Nonstick Bakeware Set, 6-Pieces with its 10-year warranty and unbeatable price would have been a winner for me but its lack of decent handle turns me off. This is potentially dangerous because if you're handling hot materials, you would need good handles to prevent the food or the entire tray from falling off.
