Braun’s food processor is called the Multiquick 3 Kitchen Machine (model number K650) and it’s a splendid piece of German engineering.
It is powered by a 600 watt DC motor, turns over as quietly as a luxury car, and has 14 speeds, so you can exert complete control over how you process the food.
The speeds vary from 300 – 2000 RPM, – so you can use the lower speeds to cut soft foods (tomatoes, onions) and the higher speeds to chop tougher stuff like carrots – the reason is that at high speeds, the soft foods turn into juice/mush. You also get a pulse button.
The food processor comes with the following attachments which help it chop meat and fish as well as veggies: stainless steel slicing insert, two stainless steel shedding inserts (one normal and one extra coarse), whipping/blending tool, cream propeller for whipping, a juice extractor insert (citrus juicer), a mini chopper insert, and a dough tool.
The bowl holds 2 liters of liquid (about 8 large cups) and about 1.5 kg (3 pounds) of dough, and is leak-proof when sealed. The safety features include not powering up unless the lid is secured on the bowl. The bowl, blades and attachments are all dishwasher safe.
